Claire Tomkinson presents Frida, Queen of the Canvas

This fairy tale is inspired by the life of Frida Kahlo. Sickness threatened her dreams more than once, but she was able to transform her pain into art with the support of her dear friend Paloma.

Frida shows us that you can do anything you set your mind to.

Author Bio:

Claire Tomkinson live in the shadow of mighty oaks and four-season blooms on her family's homestead in Mooresville, NC.  In her daily roles as wife, mother, artist, writer, gardener, Spiritual Director, the seat of her awareness is fixed on transformation. Experiencing life as a continual witness to growth, both inside and outside of herself.

My practice as a painter takes on the same form. I am in fearless pursuit of wisdom noted in the synchronicities of the day, studying the world around me, and intuitively letting what is coming to life grow and transform until there is a blossom before me. I love unlikely relationships between form and texture, color and concept, enjoying the delight of discovering a new possibility that has come of my own creative process (often, one I didn't expect). I don't seek perfection. I seek joy.
