Grandma and Me: A Kids Guide for Alzheimers & Dementia

Grandma and Me: A Kids Guide for Alzheimer’s and Dementia provides the necessary tools for young children to understand what is happening to their loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease and or a related dementia. Authors Beatrice and Mary Ann have utilized their many years of dementia care experience to create a unique picture book that provides a gentle, yet age appropriate way to define dementia, addresses a young child’s feelings and provides the child with tools to help them feel successful in their interactions with family members. While designed for children ages 5-10, the beautifully illustrated pages of this endearing, informative story captures a wide age of imagination. Grandma and Me will benefit the entire family by giving parents and grandparents the opportunity to talk to their young child about a difficult topic while keeping the child’s attention and interest.
